The New Mizuno MP-63 Irons Review

Mizuno Golf is largely known for their amazing irons! Giving players the option to mix and match which irons they want, from different series, really sets them apart! If you wanted the PW-8 Iron in the MP series, and the 7-3 Iron the JPX Series, that is no problem with Mizuno! Giving everyone the ability to create their “Perfect Set!”

Their latest irons, that are new for 2011, are the Mizuno MP-63 Irons! They also have the MP-53,MP-58, and MP-68 series. I chose to write about the MP-63 Series because they are good for a wide range of players. From the 0 handicap, to the 15 handicap, the MP-63 Irons can help your game! Let me tell you a little more about why…

The MP-63 iron is an evolution of Mizuno’s most popular tour iron. The Grain Flow Forging process, (Which is their trademark) combined with the Diamond Muscle design, creates the perfect blend of feel and control in every shot!

Through the use of Modal Analysis, Mizuno studied the vibration of the club head and experimented with several ways of affecting the sound and feel at impact. Numerous new concepts were tested by Mizuno’s PGA Tour team, including Luke Donald, and the Diamond Muscle Design was the clear winner!

In Conclusion…

If you have ever played a Mizuno Forged iron, then you know the incredible feel and forgiveness they provide! These Mizuno MP-63 Irons have taken that to a new level! You will see more and more tour players with these irons in their bag, simply because they improve the feel and consistency of every iron shot! If your looking for a new iron set, but don’t know if you can hit a blade, just give it a try… Hit 10 balls with these awesome new irons, and you will feel why they are one of the fastest growing irons in golf! You won’t be disappointed!

Thanks for checking out Golf With Cub! I hope to see you back in the future.

Until next time, Casey Hunsaker aka Cub

The new PING Golf K15 Driver Review

It might just be me, but it seems like Ping Golf comes out with a new driver every 6 month or so! Their latest and greatest driver is called the Ping K15. This new driver is already extremely popular on the PGA Tour! Players such as Bubba Watson and Hunter Mayhan play this driver, and Bubba almost won the PGA Championship with it in the bag!

Why is the K15 better?

Combining a big 460cc head, and a club face that is wider from heel to toe, means you will hit the ball straighter and longer! More forgiveness is always a good thing on drivers, and the new K15 is about as forgiving as they come! The wider club face and super thin crown gives this driver incredible consistency, and makes driving fun again! Ping Golf is really onto something with the K15, you will just have to go hit it to see what I mean!

On top of the big club head and forgiving club face, they also have a PING innovation called Straight Flight Technology (SF Tec). This visible technology concentrates about 10% of the club head mass toward the heel, which helps square the club face for consistently straight tee shots. Other drivers out there have the movable weight technology, PING Golf has built it right into the driver! No moving parts, no annoying tools to carry around, just straight golf shots with no gimmicks! If you go out and try the K15, you will see what I am talking about! If you are interested in buying this awesome new driver, you can by simply clicking on the Golf Galaxy link below, and finding it on the “Drivers” Page. Thanks for reading and I hope to see you back again soon!

The Taylormade Burner Superfast Fairway Wood Review

Taylormade Golf recently came out with the new Taylormade Burner Series. One of the most popular clubs in this series is the new Taylormade Burner Superfast Fairway Wood! You can find players like Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen, Sean oHair, and many more playing with this exact club! Let me tell you more about why it is so popular…

Why choose Burner Superfast??

Well for starters, they provide more speed and power than ever before!! It is a super light weight club head, with a longer than usual shaft for more distance! You may think that because the club is longer, you won’t be as consistent… However, that is not the case at all!! You will be pleasantly surprised with how easy to hit the Burner Superfast Fairway Wood is!

The Burner Superfast also has the largest fairway wood head they have ever offered!! This means that your mis-hits and off-center shots will still end up going where you want them too! It has a bigger sweet spot, because of the larger club head. On top of being one of the most forgiving clubs on the market, it has a really low CG which promotes a higher ball flight for increased carry and distance!! If your like me, you love clubs that get the ball in the air! I tend to hit a really low ball flight, but with the Burner Superfast Fairway Wood I got at least 10 – 15 yards higher with my ball flight! I was blown away!! I guess that is why it is so popular on the PGA Tour these days!

In Conclusion…

If your looking for a new fairway wood, and don’t know which one to get, you should definitely check out the new Taylormade Burner Superfast fairway wood! It will help you with your ball flight, off-center hits, and forgiveness on every shot! If you can, you should check out this awesome new fairway wood at your local golf shop! You will not be disappointed! Thanks for checking out GolfWithCub.com.

Until next time, Casey Hunsaker aka Cub

The Callaway Diablo Edge Driver Review

Callaway Golf is the industry leader in designing and creating new, innovative products! This is why you see so many professionals playing their clubs! Such as Ernie Else, Phil Mickelson, and MANY more! Callaway is fast becoming the biggest and most popular brand in golf! Their latest and greatest drive for the average golfer is the new Callaway Diablo Edge Driver! Let me help you learn more about this awesome new club!

Callaway Diablo Features…

As you can see to the right, this driver is constructed in 3 pieces. The super thin top crown, which flexes upon impact and shoots the ball off the club face! The thin front club face, which also flexes on impact and helps get you more distance! Finally, the properly weighted sole of the club may be the most important! The sole of the driver is what keeps it on line as you come through the ball. The weighting and design of this club is truly second to none for the average golfer out there! The Callaway Diablo Edge can really help your driving game, and add more distance to your tee shots!

Callaway Golf is better known for their FT-9 Driver, but if you are not a pro golfer than the Diablo is probably the driver for you! They have specifically designed the Diablo for the 10 + handicap player. All the features I mentioned above help to improve your driving game, and give you more consistency and distance off the tee! All you have to do is go to your local golf shop and hit it, you will see what I am talking about… You won’t be disappointed when you do! I hope I have helped you learn a little more about the Callaway Diablo Edge Driver.
The Maxfli Tour Series Golf Ball Review

Maxfli Golf has mainly been known for their popular Maxfli Noodle Golf Balls. However, they have greatly advanced their technology in all of their new balls! The brand new Maxfli Tour Series golf balls are no exception! Maxfli designed these new Tour Series Golf balls for any type of swing! Let me tell you more about them…

Why Maxfli?

Well for starters, you will pay A LOT less for these balls, as opposed to the Pro-V 1 and others. These Maxfli Tour Golf Balls start out at 30 BUCKS!! That’s right, almost half the price of the expensive balls! You will also be surprised at how much these Maxfli Balls feel, and perform, like the Titleist’s or Callaway’s of the world! The Maxfli Tour Balls all have a 3 piece construction, helping you with feel and spin around the green! They also have a super soft urethane cover! This helps you to get the ball to skip twice, and stop on a dime! The urethane cover is the main feature that produces spin on the greens! Without it, the ball would land and release every single time!

On top of the soft urethane cover and great price, they also have a solid mid-compression core, which will produce all the distance you can handle! If you aren’t familiar with the makings of golf balls, they are typically made with 3 or 4 layers, and a big solid core! The Maxfli Tour Series has the same design. The big solid core helps with the tee shots and longer irons, and the outer urethane layer helps with the spin and distance control! The Maxfli Tour Series comes in 3 different models. The Tour, the Tour LC, and the Tour XD. Each one is made for a different swing speed. The Maxfli Tour is for the 100-110 swing speeds, the Maxfli Tour XD is for the 110+ swing speeds, and the Maxfli Tour LC is for the 100 and under swing speeds! You will have to check and see which one is best for you and your game, but once you find it you will fall in love! Especially for the price! These balls perform just as well as the expensive ones, so next time you are shopping for golf balls check out the Maxfli Tour Series! I think you will be pleasantly surprised with them! I hope I have helped you learn a little more about these new golf balls! If you have any questions, you can Contact Me.

The SkyCaddy SG 3.5 GPS Golfing Device Review.

The SkyCaddie SG 3.5 gives you an eagle’s eye view of the entire hole, from tee to green! It provides you with critical distances you need to play confidently, and shoot lower scores. All the information you need is presented clearly on a brilliant color display, powered by 3 AAA batteries. Let me tell you more about the SkyCaddy SG 3.5 GPS…

How does it work?

Unlike Laser Range Finders and other knock offs, the SkyCaddy SG 3.5 uses a satellite and GPS to give you accurate and real time distances, no matter where you are in the world! The Range Finders work with a laser, which bounces off whatever target your pointing at and gives you a distance. The SkyCaddy uses a GPS, which uses a satellite to calculate the exact distance from you to the pin. The golf courses put little metallic markers on all their pins, which is how the SkyCaddy finds where it is located on the course! The signal from your device travels to the satellite, and then to the pin… From there it will show you your exact distances to the green! It is pretty incredible what our golf toys will do these days! This is just another example of that!

To the left, you can see exactly what you would see on your SkyCaddy screen. It will give you the distance to the front, middle and back of the green. Also, you can get distances to bunkers, trees, water hazards, and much more by simply changing the target your looking at on your screen! It will automatically update the distances for you on each individual hole, but you do have to click a button to get the SkyCaddy to skip ahead to the following holes. This is the only time you will have to mess with it though, because it basically runs itself! Just add batteries, and start shooting lower scores with your SkyCaddy SG 3.5 GPS! You will never walk around the fairways looking for a yardage marker again! Just pull up to your ball, get out of the cart, look at your screen, and pick your club with confidence… Knowing you have the right distance to the front and back of the green! This incredible device takes the guess work out of the game, which will greatly increase your enjoyment of golf! The first time I played with a SkyCaddy, I couldn’t believe how much time it saved me… As well as greatly improving my confidence, because I knew the exact yardages and wasn’t guessing, like usual! You will be the envy of all your friends when you show up on the tee with this!

In Conclusion…

If you are looking for a new device or tool that will help save you time and energy on the course, the SkyCaddy SG 3.5 GPS is what your looking for! This particular model is roughly $250, and the prices go up from there! The more you pay, the better features you will get with your device! However, your distances will be the same whether you buy the expensive one or not. That is why I would suggest going with the less expensive models… Paying more for the SkyCaddy doesn’t make your results and distances any more accurate! The $250 model will provide you with the same info as the $600 dollar model! Just trying to save you some money. If you are interested in buying the SkyCaddy SG 3.5 GPS, just click the Golf Galaxy link below, and you will find it in the GPS/RangeFinders Category. I hope I have helped you learn a little more about these awesome little toys!

Bushnell Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder Review

As golf has evolved, so has the equipment we use to play it! You probably already know about the awesome new clubs and golf balls, but did you know some Laser Range Finders are LEGAL to use in Tournament Play?! Yup, that’s right. You can use a laser range finder to find your distances, while in a tournament! This Bushnell Tour V2 Laser Range Finder makes golf a lot easier! Let me tell you how this tool can greatly improve your game…

How accurate is it?

This specific Range Finder has a new technology called “Pinseeker Technology!” This amazing laser based tool is accurate with in 12 inches or so! You can rest assured that when you look through the lense of the V2 Tour, the distance will be extremely accurate! You can choose your club with confidence, knowing the distance you have is 100% accurate… Unlike most of the yellow, blue, white, and red markers out there on the course! The V2 Tour is one of the best Range Finders you can buy!

Is this like the Sky Caddy?

NO! It is nothing like the Sky Caddy, which shows you distances on a screen, based on the GPS location of the flag… And sometimes it is not 100% accurate. It will show you the front, middle, and back distances to the green on your Sky-Caddy screen, but if those are wrong what good are they? With the Bushnell V2 Tour Range Finder you will know you are getting the exact distance to the flag! Just point the laser at the pin, and click the button! Then you will see a distance show up through the lens, and you can pick your club. It doesn’t get much easier!

In Conclusion…

The Ping Craz-e iWi Series Putter Review

Ping has recently come out with an all new line of putters! They are called the iWi Series Putters. All of the putters in the iWi Series have the movable weight feature, on the bottom of the putter head. You can adjust it to have more weight on the inside, or outside of the putter. As well as a lot of other awesome features… Let me tell you more…

Weights on a putter??

Until now, there were only drivers, and some fairway woods, that were able to move weights around. The Ping Golf team has done tons of research on what people want, and this is it! The movable weight technology is fast becoming people’s favorite thing about their clubs! So Ping decided to join the party! With the Craz-e iWi Series you have the option of up to 12 oz of weight on the toe or heel of your putter. Which can really help with the feel and roll of your putts! The key to putting is getting the ball to roll instantly, instead of skidding along the green. With the weights, you can adjust it to work better with your stroke! It is amazing how much it affects the feel of your putts!

On top of the movable weights, there is also a 2-Piece Insert on the putter face! This machined 304 stainless steel face insert is encased in an elastomer backing to provide you with steel-face performance and response, with a MUCH softer feel! Ping putters have always been known for their soft feeling putters, but the iWi Series Putters take it to a whole new level of performance! You won’t believe how soft this putter feels! While also providing you with a straight back and through stroke, because of the weighting system! This mallet style putter can greatly help your putting stroke, you will just have to find which model fits your putting style the best!

I also strongly recommend that you get your putter “Fitted” to YOUR stroke while you are there! It usually only costs about 20 bucks, and greatly increases your putting stats! When I got my putter fitted, I started to make more putts than ever before! I will never play another putter unless it is fitted to me! You should check it out too, you won’t be disappointed! I hope this article has helped shed some light on the Craz-e iWi Series Putter. If you have any other questions, you can Contact Me. If you are interested in getting this putter, you can find it by clicking the Golf Galaxy Link below. Thanks.

The Taylormade R7 CGB Max Fairway Wood Review

This new Taylormade R7 CGB Max Fairway Wood has some pretty incredible technology! This particular model has the Movable Weight Technology (MWT), much like their R7 Drivers and other clubs. It is the traditional graphite black color, with a gradient red pattern on the top crown. This club is great for working the ball left or right…

Do the weights matter?

The weighting system can help you, as long as you know how to use it! Most people out there assume moving the heavy weight to the inside of the club head will make you draw it, but it is the other way around! You should have your local pro explain how to take full advantage of the MWT.

On top of the MWT, these fairway woods also have a lot of other awesome features. Some of which are:

The triangular head shape makes it easy to launch the ball high and super-deep!

The SuperFast Technology reduces total club weight and promotes faster swing speed for added distance!

The large titanium club-head and Inverted Cone Technology produces more stability and forgiveness.

Also available in a women’s version.

In Conclusion…

The Taylormade R7 CGB Max Fairway Wood is a great addition to any golf bag! It is great if you want to be able to work the ball around corners and trees, as well as get it higher into the air. Depending on the golf ball you play, the R7 CGB Max can greatly increase the distance you get with your fairway woods! As with everything else, it is going to be a personal preference and decision, but I hope I have helped you learn a little more about it. Thanks for reading.

The New Callaway FT-iZ Fairway Wood Review

Fairway woods are not the most important clubs in your bag, but they can save you a lot of strokes on par 5′s! They are also great to hit off the tee on tight driving holes. Some people even chip with them from just off the green! Callaway Golf has come out with some new 3, 5, 7, and 9 woods, called the Callaway FT-iZ Fairway Woods. They claim that they are “Beyond Long!”

Hit it longer than ever!

When it comes to creating technology-leading fairway woods, Callaway sets the bar. The new FT-iZ Fairway Woods only add to the legacy. With unprecedented distance, stability, consistency and feel in every shot. This all comes from the polar weighting, aerodynamic body design, their VFT Technology, and Fusion Technology. The weighting provides stability, consistency, and incredible feel on all shots! The aerodynamic body reduces drag and increases club head speed. The VFT Technology provides increased ball speeds across the entire face, and the Fusion Technology delivers increased stability for longer, straighter shots. All these factors give you a very long, straight, and reliable golf club!

Callaway fairway woods have always had a very unique feel and sound. The patented “Ping” sound when you hit the ball is still there with the FT-iZ. It also has a very forgiving club face, due to the VFT Technology. Whether you hit it dead center, or not, the ball will still generally go where you want it to! I find myself hitting it on the toe of the club quite a bit, but with the FT-iZ that really didn’t matter. Even when I hit it off-center, it still went 250 plus and straight! The technology instilled into this awesome club can really help just about anyone! You just have to get use to the feel of the Callaway woods, and you will be hitting it straighter, farther, and more consistent than ever! Just ask Phil or Ernie!

In Conclusion…

If long irons and woods are not really the best part of your game, this club can turn that around for you! Get more distance, more consistency, and a better feel on all your golf shots with this club. There is a good reason Ernie Els and many other pros have this club in their bag! You should go find out why for yourself! You won’t be disappointed! Thanks for checking out Golf With Cub.

Until next time, Casey Hunsaker aka Cub
